Shot entirely on location in Kinshasa, rich in Ingala colour, the film "VIVA RIVA !" directed by Belgo-Congolese director, Djo Munga is a truly modern thriller.
A self-styled Scarface, grittily portraying Kinshasa today, a city at the mercy of criminal traffickers and social misery. After receiving a great reception at the Toronto and Berlin film festivals, VIVA RIVA!, has travelled around the world, and has been released in the UK and in the United States, where it won the award for Best African Film at the MTV Movie Awards in New York.
The film will be released in Belgium on September 7. VIVA RIVA!, a film phenomenon: The very first film about modern Congo.
