has been given to Nicolas Provost for his first feature film THE INVADER at the Ghent Int’l Film Festival.
Selected in Venice, Toronto and San Sebastian, THE INVADER was presented as a national Premiere at the Ghent Int’l Film Festival.
The Belgian director has already seen his work awarded with prestigious selections within festivals worldwide: Berlin (“Long Live The New Flesh”), Sundance (“Suspension” and “Papillon d’amour”) and Venice (“Stardust” starring John Voight, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson).
** Prize for best young Flemish director awarded by Belgian newspaper Knack and handed by the Flemish Community Minister of Culture, Ms Joke Schauvliege. Nicolas Provost is the fourth laureate to be awarded after directors Fien Troch, Felix Van Groeningen and Gust Van Den Berghe.
THE INVADER will be released in theatres on November 23d.
