Synopsis
At the dawn of the twentieth century, in a Parisian brothel, one of the prostitutes stands out because of a scar that draws a tragic smile across her face. Around this laughing woman, the lives of the other girls weave their different paths; their rivalries, their fears, their joy, their pain… Of the outside world nothing is known. The brothel is a world unto itself.
